Feminist Antifascism – October Victory, What’s Next?

On 13th October 2018, more than 2000 antifascists, led by the Women’s Strike and Feminist Anti-fa, took to the streets of central London and stopped the vastly outnumbered Democratic Football Lads Alliance (DFLA) in their path, preventing them from reaching their final meeting point at Downing Street. Further support was offered by the Stand Up […]

Statement by Argentina’s Campaign for the Right to Abortion on the Parliamentary Rejection of the VIP bill

On 8 August 2018, Argentina’s Senate rejected the Voluntary Interruption of Pregnancy (VIP) bill that had already been approved by the lower house of parliament. The bill was the result of a long campaign and a series of mass mobilisations bringing the struggle for women’s, lesbians’, trans, and transvestites’ rights once again to the fore.

Red feminism is trans feminism: Towards a shared Plan C perspective

Now is not the time to remain silent on conflicts about trans rights and sex workers’ rights, which have plagued our movement for decades. As an organisation for which class struggle and feminist politics are crucial, we believe it is important for us to express solidarity with comrades both within and outside of our organisation

High on the Feminist Tide: Ni Una Menos, the Women’s Strike and a revolution for all

These chants — the first commemorating Marielle Franco, a black feminist socialist organiser from the Maré favela of Rio de Janeiro who was assassinated

Women’s Strike: Reclaiming the Future of Work

“A woman’s work is never done.” There’s something insulting about the neutered cutesification of the familiar realities of women’s lives – vast swathes of which are dedicated to the largely unpaid task of domestic or caring labour upon which all other work depends. Ask anyone facing down that mammoth, life-long work assignment and they’ll tell

TWT 2017 Input: Radical Childcare

Red feminism starts from the idea that reproduction and care are at the centre of our politics and lives. But, our vision of reproduction is one in which we have collectively refused those aspects of reproduction that are part of the problem. So that little girls can dream of being more than princesses. Boys will not just be boys, because boys grow up to the men. Men who will need more than just an understanding of consent and women’s autonomy. A red feminist horizon is one in which the work of reproduction and mothering is not devalued, undertaken because of love or reduced to ‘nature’ – but instead distributed among the community, revalued, supported and celebrated as the work that makes life and labour possible.
